Day 1 of Ministry in Barahona, Dominican Republi

This day began with worship and a devotion from Hebrews 6:1-2 reviewing the foundational truths that we can share with people here in this village. Lewis shared with us an update about what the Lord is doing here in this community. We then broke up in 3 groups and went out to share the gospel.

Pastor Bill Beckleman and I went out with Lewis. We spent about an hour with the family in this picture. Juan Carlos (in the red), Rosa Maria 9to the left of Juan, and Ingrina (on the lfet of me -- all received Jesus Christ. Praise God! Pray that they would connect with our Bible study next Monday.

One the way back to the house we met a group of teenage guys playing hacky sack. I jumped in and demonstrated my incompitency with the sack. We then started sharing the gospel. I asked Lewis to share his testimoy and the gospel. He was able to lead six guys to Jesus. It's a joy to my heart to see Lewis leading people to Jesus. I said to Lewis, "I guess I'm not needed here anymore."
We're getting ready to go back out for a few hours. Later this evening we'll go to a park in the center of Barahona to share the gospel.
I'll do my best to try to keep everyone up to date! Blessings!
